Refractories are used in heating units in process & core sector industries in different type of furnaces, kilns, driers, gasifiers and reformers. Operating conditions are often severe, with temperatures as high as 1400 - 1800 °C. Usage can be categorized as regular, conventional refractories (fireclay, bricks, low alumina bricks, dolomite bricks, etc.) and specialized refractories (high alumina).
